Each Level of training has 3 primary steps that must be completed to qualify for the certification.
Step 1: Work Experience – Time working in the industry
Step 2: Education – Continuing Education from approved sources
Step 3: Exams – Complete online and live hands-on exams
STEP 1 – WORK EXPERIANCE
Below are the steps to complete the required work experience to meet the certification requirements for the DMERT Group international Level 1 exams
STEP 2 – Education – Continuing Education
- Continuing Education Credits (CECs) – This is an informal training on products and can be provided from manufacturers of such products that may have marketing aspects.
- Continuing Education Units (CEUs) – This is formal training that must be backed through an approved education approval process and must not have marketing aspects to the course.
There is a requirement to have education within the medical equipment industry to build a foundation that has a variety of learning from different sources of instruction. There are two forms of education:
STEP 3 – Exams – Online and hands-on exams
There are two portions to the examination process.
